Dear readers, In today's blog, we bring you further information regarding travel measures, which are significantly restricted due to the occurrence of COVID-19. According to the regulation of the Slovak government, individuals entering Slovakia from 6.4.2020 at 7:00 are required to undergo quarantine in state-designated facilities. This includes caregivers and nurses returning most frequently from Germany or Austria. Conversely, pregnant women, people with various illnesses (the list of which can be found below), and individuals with diplomatic immunity are exempt from this mandatory isolation. Information about mandatory quarantine and exemptions Isolation in a state-designated facility is mandatory for any form of travel, whether individual or organized. Isolation in a state-designated facility lasts for the time necessary to conduct laboratory diagnostics for COVID-19, and following a negative result, the person is ordered to undergo home isolation for a total cumulative period of 14 days. During such home isolation, home isolation is also mandated for individuals living with them in the same household.

Isolation in state-designated facilities does not apply to the following persons:
