Job description

We are looking for a caregiver for an 80-year-old lady. The senior measures 166 cm, weighs 50 kg, and lives alone in a family house. She suffers from Parkinson's disease, early-stage dementia, and is blind in one eye. She is physically weak, has an unsteady gait, and is at risk of falling. She can manage short distances with the help of a walker, is incontinent (both urine and stool), uses adult diapers, but still goes to the toilet. Currently, she is mentally weakened after a broken arm and needs a sensitive approach. The lady experiences moments of confusion, especially in the morning and evening, but she is calm, without signs of aggression or hallucinations. Her orientation in time, space, and towards people is largely preserved. Night care is part of the job – approximately 2 times a night, assistance is needed with hygiene, using a commode, or changing hygiene products. The caregiver will assist with regular hygiene, dressing, administer eye drops (3 times a day), remind her to take medications, prepare fresh meals as agreed, maintain the household (cleaning, laundry, cooking), and shop – either together with her daughter, on foot, by bus, or by bicycle (approximately 3 km). In addition to practical assistance, companionship is also important – conversations, watching television, playing board games, and short walks with the walker. A friendly dog is also present in the household, which needs to be walked (without the senior). If needed, the daughter, who lives right next door, will help. Accommodation is provided in a separate room (11 m²) in the house with basic furnishings – bed, wardrobe, table, chair, TV, and internet connection. A commode, shower chair, adjustable bed, and rollator are available. Leisure activities are agreed upon with the family.
