The client: man 96 years 170 cm 80 kg
We are looking for a caregiver for a 96-year-old gentleman who lives alone in a small apartment. His mobility is limited; he uses a walker and requires assistance when walking due to impaired vision. He has mild dementia, which manifests as forgetfulness, but he is calm, without aggression or hallucinations. He has suffered a stroke and has mild diabetes, which is stabilized with medication. He is not incontinent but requires assistance to the toilet due to the risk of falling, especially once per night. The caregiver will be responsible for general household tasks such as cleaning, laundry, ironing, grocery shopping (approximately 10 minutes on foot), and preparing fresh meals. The diet must be tailored to his needs, and food should be cut into smaller pieces. The role also includes assistance with personal hygiene, dressing, getting up, and administering medication. The senior appreciates company for board games, watching television, and simple conversations. Assistance with doctor visits or short walks may be required as needed. Night duty involves one escort to the toilet. The senior can stand up by himself but needs guidance when walking due to poor eyesight. A bathroom lift is available; other aids are not currently provided. We offer a private room with a bed, table, and wardrobe; internet installation is in progress. The family lives nearby and can assist if necessary. Free time is arranged in agreement with the family.
