Opatrovanie 83-ročnej ženy zahŕňa pomoc pri rôznych činnostiach vzhľadom na jej zdravotný stav. Má demenciu/alzheimerovú chorouy, čo spôsobuje začínajúce kognitívne poruchy a občasnú zmätenosť, najmä v závislosti na jej aktuálnom zdravotnom stave. Ďalej trpí osteoporózou a ľahkou inkontinenciou. Potrebuje pomoc pri obliekaní, stravovaní a pri osobnej hygiene, pričom pri toalete je sebestačná. Má problémy s vykonávaním zložitejších domácich úloh a často ju treba presvedčiť, aby prijala pomoc. Potrebuje aj pomoc pri starostlivosti o domácnosť, pričom upratovanie zabezpečuje upratovačka raz týždenne. Žije sama v domácnosti, kde sa používa aj špeciálne vybavenie ako nemocničné lôžko a bezbariérová sprcha.
