Client
a woman 90 years 165 cm 50 kg
Diagnoses
Care for a 90-year-old senior living in a two-generation house in Heilbronn, requiring temporary care from May 13 to June 1, 2026, as a vacation replacement. Intermediate knowledge of German is required, and smoking indoors is prohibited. Accommodation is provided either in the client's apartment or in her son's apartment in the same house, where there is an older dog cared for by the client's daughter; internet is available in both cases. The senior is 165 cm tall, weighs 50 kg, and is mobile within the home using a walker, but does not go outside. She suffers from Alzheimer's dementia, has a stoma, urinary incontinence, impaired hearing, but good vision. She is oriented in time, space, and persons, but her short-term memory is significantly weakened, often repeating herself and asking the same questions. Her speech is clear, without disorders, she can express her needs, and conversation is possible. She has balance issues due to an inner ear disorder, treatment is set, and occasional nausea is managed with Iberogast. Due to heart valve stenosis, she becomes short of breath quickly. Night care is needed once or twice when it is necessary to empty the stoma bag, but not every night. Assistance is needed with dressing, hygiene, getting in and out of the shower, toilet use, and stoma care, with the client cooperating as much as possible. She eats independently, requires soft foods, and supervision over adequate hydration. The caregiver will ensure meal preparation, shared dining, maintaining a daily routine, accompaniment during routine activities, companionship, conversation, and simple leisure activities such as watching TV or cooking together. The job also includes cleaning, laundry, shopping, and routine errands, with shops accessible on foot. Medications are prepared, and it is necessary to oversee their correct usage.

No, completing a caregiving course is not necessary for most job positions; however, it is important to have at least some experience from a home environment.
Finding a family is a highly individual matter for each applicant, and therefore there is no exact timeframe for when we will find you a family with whom you will be mutually compatible. In some cases, we are able to arrange work within a few days; in other instances, the waiting period can be up to a month. For families in Switzerland, due to high demand, the wait may extend to two months.
If you are interested, we can arrange transportation for you. We have long-term partnerships with transport companies that our caregivers happily use repeatedly. Of course, you can also choose another transportation method that you prefer. The caregiver pays for the journey themselves, with the family in Germany contributing €150-200 towards it, and in Switzerland 380 CHF.
In Germany, the standard length of a work period is 4 to 6 weeks, while in Switzerland it's 2 months. In the case of temporary replacements, the periods are shorter.
