We are looking for a caregiver for a 94-year-old woman, who is 145 cm tall and weighs 53 kg. She suffers from urinary incontinence, Parkinson's disease, osteoporosis, severe hearing impairment, and macular degeneration (almost blind). She requires a wheelchair for mobility, and a commode is also used as a wheelchair. The woman experiences severe hip pain (she takes strong pain medication) and is fully oriented in time, space, and with respect to people. Simple conversations are possible; however, due to hearing difficulties, it is necessary to speak loudly and clearly. Night work includes 1–2 escorts to the toilet during the night. She lives with her husband, who has cataracts, is independent, but requires cooking, laundry, cleaning, and ironing. Your responsibilities will include assisting with daily activities, including support with personal hygiene (including showering and hair washing; a shower chair is available), help with dressing and undressing, assistance with toilet visits, and changing incontinence supplies. The woman requires partial assistance with eating (she is capable of eating independently but needs support with meal preparation) and with taking medications. Your tasks also include managing the household, preparing fresh meals (shared dining, overseeing adequate fluid intake), cleaning living spaces, and caring for laundry. Shopping and errands are also part of the job, with stores within walking distance. Social support is also part of the care, spending time with the cared-for person, engaging in conversations, and maintaining a daily routine. The woman lives with her 93-year-old husband (almost blind, but without the need for care) in a family house with an area of 150 m².

Finding a family is a highly individual matter for each applicant, and therefore there is no exact timeframe for when we will find you a family with whom you will be mutually compatible. In some cases, we are able to arrange work within a few days; in other instances, the waiting period can be up to a month. For families in Switzerland, due to high demand, the wait may extend to two months.
If you are interested, we can arrange transportation for you. We have long-term partnerships with transport companies that our caregivers happily use repeatedly. Of course, you can also choose another transportation method that you prefer. The caregiver pays for the journey themselves, with the family in Germany contributing €150-200 towards it, and in Switzerland 380 CHF.
In Germany, the standard length of a work period is 4 to 6 weeks, while in Switzerland it's 2 months. In the case of temporary replacements, the periods are shorter.
The salary range in Germany is between €1200 and €2200 per month on a trade license. Compensation depends on the required language and other skills, the client's health condition, and whether care is provided for an individual or a married couple. In Switzerland, the salary ranges from 2460 to 2500 CHF per month on a Swiss employment contract.
In Germany, an intermediate to good knowledge of German is most commonly required, while some families are satisfied with basic knowledge and/or require knowledge of another language, such as Czech or Russian. Families in Switzerland require good knowledge of German, though sometimes an upper-intermediate level is sufficient.
