At home, he moves with a cane, and outdoors he uses a walker, always with accompaniment. His vision and hearing are age-appropriate, he is not incontinent, suffers from cardiovascular weakness and occasional dizziness, and does not have diabetes, Parkinson's, asthma, rheumatism, or depression. Required assistance includes partial support with dressing, eating, and personal hygiene, supervision during toileting and medication intake (medications are prepared by another person). The senior eats independently but needs supervision to ensure adequate fluid intake and shared meals. The caregiver also manages household tasks—cleaning, cooking, shopping, and small errands as agreed, accompanies medical visits, and provides companionship, conversations, and activities to maintain a daily routine, including short walks. Night service is possible but not regular; the senior is occasionally disoriented but usually falls back asleep after waking and measures his own blood pressure.
