Diagnoses
Start 04.11.2026, at the latest 08.11.2026, long-term deployment in an alternating system. Care for a 92-year-old senior lady (160 cm, 72 kg) in a family house with a garden in a large city. The senior uses a rollator and, after a recent hip fracture, spends a lot of time sitting in a wheelchair. She suffers from hip osteoarthritis, insulin-dependent type 2 diabetes, and is severely hard of hearing – completely deaf in one ear, wears a cochlear implant in the other; without a hearing aid, she hears nothing. Four months ago, she had motor failures, since then she has been taking muscle relaxants. She manages dressing, toileting, and eating independently, needs light assistance and supervision with personal hygiene, and support when standing, walking, and going for walks. The caregiver reminds her to take medication, cooks, cleans, does laundry, takes care of linens, and goes shopping (shops are within walking distance, currently, the children go shopping with the senior 1× a week). Night work is needed approximately 1× per night – the senior suffers from night dizziness and needs to be accompanied to the toilet for safety reasons. Lifting is not necessary (she gets out of bed independently, a bath lift is available). A woman with an intermediate knowledge of German is sought, a smoker only outside the apartment (balcony and terrace available). A driver's license would be an advantage but is not a requirement – the tram goes directly in front of the house. The senior would be very pleased with a caregiver with a dog. Accommodation in a fully furnished guest room with WiFi. Free time by agreement with the family.

You don't pay our employment agency anything at all. We believe it is not right to charge people money in order to enable them to work, and so we offer assistance in finding job positions completely free of charge.
Most job positions in Germany are based on Slovak/Czech trade licenses, though employment contracts are possible with some families. In Switzerland, work is conducted under Swiss employment contracts.
A caregiving course is not required for families in Germany, but you need at least some experience of caring at home. In Switzerland, most families require a caregiving course.
Finding a family is an individual matter for every candidate, so there is no exact time frame for when we will find you a family that suits you both. In some cases we can arrange a job within a few hours, at other times the wait is a few days. For families in Switzerland, the wait can stretch to a month because of high demand. We place candidates fastest in the summer months, June – August, and more slowly from the end of January to the end of March.
If you wish, we will organise your transport. We have worked for many years with transport companies that our caregivers are happy to use again and again. You can of course choose another way of travelling that you prefer. The caregiver pays for the journey herself and the family contributes to it – €180 – 300 in Germany, CHF 380 – 400 in Switzerland, depending on the offer. If you do not have the cash to travel to Germany, we can pay the fare for you and deduct it from your pay afterwards.
In Germany a standard assignment lasts 4 – 6 weeks, in Switzerland 2 – 3 months. Replacement assignments are shorter.
In Germany the pay is up to €3 500 a month as a self-employed caregiver – the exact amount is stated in each offer. It depends on your German, the client’s state of health and whether you care for one person or a married couple. In Switzerland the pay is up to CHF 3 500 net a month on a Swiss employment contract.
In Germany, families most often require intermediate to good German; some are happy with basic German and/or want another language, such as Czech, Russian or Bulgarian. Families in Switzerland require good German, although a solid intermediate level is sometimes enough.
Yes, we successfully place male caregivers with families too.
