man 79 years 172 cm 75 kg
Caregiving for a 79-year-old senior (75 kg, 172 cm) diagnosed with early-stage dementia, incontinence, and an increased risk of falls, with a recognized dependency level of 3. The senior communicates clearly, can express needs, and is oriented to people, place, and time, although there is mild cognitive impairment, particularly in short-term memory, with occasional repetition of questions. Vision and hearing are appropriate for age. Mobility is uncertain; the senior mostly uses a walker and, on worse days, a wheelchair, requiring assistance when rising from a seated position or bed. Outdoor activities are only with accompaniment. The senior is urinary incontinent, uses diapers and pads, but bowel movements are controlled. Meals are taken independently, with supervision needed for regular fluid intake and shared dining. Partial assistance is required for dressing, undressing, toileting, and personal hygiene, with the senior actively participating as much as possible. Daily hygiene is conducted at the sink with support, and showering occurs twice a week at a day care center. Ensuring proper medication intake, accompanying to medical examinations and therapies as agreed with the family, and assistance with minor errands are necessary. A crucial part of care includes maintaining a daily routine, providing companionship, conversation, and appropriate activities such as walks, games, or watching television. Night assistance is typically needed once per night, mainly for toilet use. The senior lives alone in a family house, with accommodation provided in a fully furnished room with internet access. Free time is arranged by agreement, with the possibility of one to two full days off.

No, completing a caregiving course is not necessary for most job positions; however, it is important to have at least some experience from a home environment.
Finding a family is a highly individual matter for each applicant, and therefore there is no exact timeframe for when we will find you a family with whom you will be mutually compatible. In some cases, we are able to arrange work within a few days; in other instances, the waiting period can be up to a month. For families in Switzerland, due to high demand, the wait may extend to two months.
If you are interested, we can arrange transportation for you. We have long-term partnerships with transport companies that our caregivers happily use repeatedly. Of course, you can also choose another transportation method that you prefer. The caregiver pays for the journey themselves, with the family in Germany contributing €150-200 towards it, and in Switzerland 380 CHF.
In Germany, the standard length of a work period is 4 to 6 weeks, while in Switzerland it's 2 months. In the case of temporary replacements, the periods are shorter.
